Our mission is to bring Summit County together through accessible, inclusive, and collaborative public art that is community-driven and rooted in shared creativity. Through murals that highlight local nonprofits, community causes, and issues affecting the region, we seek to amplify diverse voices, reflect shared values, and strengthen civic pride and a sense of belonging.
Our vision is to complete a focused, time-bound community mural initiative as part of the current Park City Leadership class, delivering three to five collaboratively created public murals during the months of August and September. Each mural will address a nonprofit, community cause, or issue relevant to Summit County and will be completed within a defined project scope, timeline, and set of deliverables, with the project concluding prior to the program’s end in early October. Project outcomes and documentation will be shared with community partners or arts organizations following completion.
Nonprofits are a vital thread in the tapestry of Summit County, alongside the causes, challenges, and shared values that shape daily life in the region. As the county continues to navigate growth, change, and increasing community needs, this project uses public art to recognize local efforts, elevate important conversations, and create visible points of connection between people and place. By expanding the focus beyond individual organizations to include community issues and values, the project allows for broader participation, more feasible mural locations, and a more complete reflection of what matters to Summit County at this moment in time.
